History

The history of favours dates back to when sugar was rare and expensive and it was a way of showing off your wealth by giving it away. The almond and sugar coating symbolise the bitter and sweet of a relationship; the chocolate dragees available instead are a rich bitter chocolate but make a sweeter alternative to the almonds.

The 5 pieces stand for health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity. One customer was marrying for the second time and already had children so they opted for only 4 sugared almonds as they didn't need 'fertility'! Your favours can be as unique as you are.
