Sweet Memories UK specialises in creating favours for almost any occasion and several of the designs are exclusive so you will not find them anywhere else in the UK.
The history of favours dates back to when sugar was rare and expensive and it was a way of showing off your wealth by giving it away. The almond and sugar coating symbolise the bitter and sweet of a relationship, the chocolate dragees available instead are a rich bitter chocolate but make a sweeter alternative to the almonds.
The 5 pieces stand for health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity. One customer was marrying for the second time and already had a child so she opted for only 4 sugared almonds as she didn't need "fertility"! Your favours can be as unique as you are.
It does get extremely busy between April-September as this is the peak period for weddings, christenings, and holy communions, so if you're planning your event during these months please order as early as possible. Please allow approx 6-8 weeks for the despatch of your order but if you need it sooner than this then email first and we'll see what can be done.
